At Vyn Dene, we believe that wine should be enjoyed with care, curiosity, and respect. Our commitment to quality and craftsmanship extends beyond the bottle – it includes a shared responsibility to promote mindful, responsible drinking.
1. Our ethos on responsible enjoyment
Wine is a source of celebration, connection, and sensory pleasure. But enjoyment must be balanced with awareness. We encourage all our customers and community members to drink in moderation and to be mindful of how, when, and where they consume alcohol.
Please:
- Enjoy wine with food, friends, and time – not in haste or excess.
- Pay attention to recommended weekly alcohol limits.
- Never feel pressured to drink in any setting – we celebrate inclusion for all, whether drinking or not.
2. No alcohol for under 18s
Vyn Dene operates a strict “Challenge 25” policy in line with UK licensing guidance. If you are fortunate enough to look under 25, we, or our delivery partners, will ask for photographic ID proving you are over 18 before fulfilling any order.
We do not sell or supply wine to:
- Anyone under the age of 18.
- Anyone attempting to purchase on behalf of someone underage.
Acceptable ID includes a valid passport, UK photocard driving licence, or a PASS-accredited card.
3. Don’t drink and drive
Alcohol impairs judgement and reaction time. Even small amounts can compromise safety. If you’re driving or operating machinery, please choose not to drink.
Plan ahead with transport alternatives – and if you’re hosting, consider offering alcohol-free options for designated drivers and non-drinkers.
4. Support for those who need it
If you’re concerned about your own or someone else’s drinking, we encourage seeking support from expert resources such as:
- Drinkaware
- Your GP or local support services
We are committed to promoting a positive culture around wine – one that celebrates craft, quality, and community without excess or harm.
